Perse students recognised among the UK’s top A level Computer Science performers

Five students from The Perse have been recognised among the top 100 AQA A level Computer Science performers in the UK, placing them within approximately the top 1.9% of candidates nationally.

Their success forms part of an outstanding year for Computer Science at The Perse, with 70% of students achieving an A* grade and 90% securing A* to A grades in 2026 A levels.

The national recognition celebrates not only exceptional examination performance but also the commitment, curiosity and problem-solving skills demonstrated by students throughout their studies. The five students represent a quarter of the entire Computer Science cohort, underlining the remarkable strength of achievement across the year group.

As part of its commitment to supporting emerging talent in the technology sector, cybersecurity company Netcraft has recognised the students’ achievement with a cash prize and an invitation to an exclusive open day at its offices.

These achievements are a reflection of the hard work and enthusiasm shown by students over the course of their A level studies, as well as the supportive and intellectually stimulating environment that encourages pupils to pursue their interests beyond the classroom.

We congratulate all five students on this outstanding achievement and celebrate the success of the entire Computer Science cohort.
