Outdoor Education

Prep-aged children need space to explore, play and let off steam. Our sixteen acres of green space provide exactly that, from sports fields and lawns to the Science Garden, Kitchen Garden and Greenhouse. These outdoor spaces encourage free play, curiosity and friendships that will last for years.

Pupils in Years 3 to 6 take part in Outdoor Education sessions, with activities including den building, campfire creation, climbing, archery and rifle shooting. The programme is delivered by full-time, qualified and experienced staff using our climbing wall, outdoor education centre and rifle range.

Residential opportunities, including the Year 4 bushcraft trip, help pupils develop confidence, independence and practical skills. More broadly, outdoor education is woven through Perse school life, creating memorable experiences while developing transferable skills for the future.
