Success for Perse girls in the Regional Netball Finals
After earning their places at the Regional Netball Finals through strong performances in the county rounds back in October, our U14, U16 and U19 squads represented the school with pride, determination and impressive skill at Stanborough School.
All three teams recorded notable wins, competitive performances and encouraging progress against some of the strongest opposition in the region.
U14 Team – Fifth
The U14s produced a confident and positive campaign, finishing 5th in their pool.
They pushed several top teams close in tightly contested fixtures. Highlights included competitive performances and victories against St. Clere’s, Norwich High, and Bedford Girls’ School.
Throughout the day, the squad demonstrated excellent teamwork and resilience, showing how much their netball skills have developed since the start of the season. Their energy, movement and attacking combinations were consistently strong, and their progress from the county rounds to regionals is a testament to their hard work.
U16 Team – Fourth
The U16s delivered a fantastic set of performances, earning a well-deserved 4th place finish in their group. They notched up impressive wins against St Joseph’s, Redbourne, and Norwich High, showing tactical awareness, defensive intensity and accurate shooting in key moments.
Their improvement across the season has been considerable, and their success at the Regional Finals reflects their commitment, determination and growing maturity as a squad.
U19 Team – 5th
Our senior squad also finished fifth in their pool, performing with confidence and strong leadership throughout the tournament. They recorded strong wins against Brentwood School and USP Palmers, and played exceptionally close matches against Ipswich and Samuel Whitbread, demonstrating grit and control in high-pressure moments.
For several players in their final year, this competition marks the culmination of many seasons of dedication throughout their school career. Their performances showcased not just talent, but also teamwork, composure and an exemplary sporting attitude.
Team captain, Willow, reflected on the competition, saying, “The regional finals were a great experience for the team. Everyone put in a huge shift and worked hard for each other. It was lovely to see such a strong group spirit and be a part of a wonderful team.”
Across all age groups, our athletes represented the school superbly. Their success at the Regional Finals is a testament of the teamwork, perseverance and positivity shown by each squad. A huge congratulations to all players and coaches for their fantastic achievements so far this season.
