Portugal tour a big hit with Perse tennis players

An ace time was served up for more than 30 Perse pupils who participated in the fantastic Easter tennis tour to Portugal.
The group of Year 9 and 10 pupils travelled to Vale do Lobo for some warm weather training ahead of the new tennis season, rounded off with a tournament against four other local schools.
Students also enjoyed playing padel, a tennis-based sport popular in southern Europe, as well as spending time on the beach.
Perse Head of Rackets Ed Miller said: “The trip has put the players in a great position for the start of term, boosting our top-level players to an even higher standard with exceptional individual coaching, and blowing the cobwebs off for those who haven’t played a lot since last year, preparing them for the fixtures ahead.”
