Exhilarating activities enjoyed by PES Ascent Group in Norfolk
More than 250 Perse pupils, plus staff and volunteers, embarked on two exciting Easter camps in Norfolk.
Notably, the adventures marked the inaugural camps for the PES Ascent Group Granta and Brygg Troops.
Pupils revelled in an array of exhilarating activities at Hautbois Activity Centre, ranging from backwoods cooking to archery, along with the adrenaline rush of the zipline and the challenge of climbing.
Adding a festive touch to proceedings, an Easter orienteering challenge was undertaken by all students, with chocolate awarded for their efforts.

Throughout the camp, pupils were empowered to lead and demonstrate autonomy. Under the guidance of pupil leaders, younger students were guided in the essentials of camping, while the patrols took charge of sourcing and preparing their food, including cooking for staff.
Despite contending with challenging weather conditions, characterised by cold overnight temperatures and persistent rain, with fleeting moments of sunshine, both troops displayed remarkable resilience and adaptability.
Perse Head of Outdoor Pursuits Ben Parker said: “The diligent efforts of pupil leaders in navigating the transition between two troops and orchestrating the intricate logistics of the camp were particularly noteworthy, underscoring their developing leadership and organisational skills.”
