Perse pupils take on muddy challenge for East Anglian Air Ambulance

Ten Year 13 pupils put their resilience to the test as they tackled the Only The Brave Mud Run, raising more than £900 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

On Sunday 20 September, a team of Perse Year 13 pupils took part in the Only The Brave Mud Run at Euston Estate in Suffolk, completing a demanding obstacle course while fundraising for a vital regional charity.

The pupils joined hundreds of participants in East Anglian Air Ambulance’s annual Only The Brave event, which challenges runners to navigate a muddy course packed with obstacles designed to test endurance, strength and determination.

Inspired by the resilience shown every day by East Anglian Air Ambulance pilots, doctors, paramedics, patients and their families, the event encourages participants to overcome both physical and mental challenges. The charity provides advanced critical care by air and road 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, relying entirely on charitable donations and community support to continue its lifesaving work.

Taking on the event’s demanding 10-mile course, the Perse pupils tackled a series of muddy obstacles and endurance challenges, demonstrating teamwork and perseverance throughout the day.

In addition to completing the course, the group raised more than £900 in sponsorship for East Anglian Air Ambulance, helping to support the charity’s work across the region.

Congratulations to all the pupils involved on their fantastic achievement and for supporting such an important cause.
