Leave a Legacy

Continue a tradition that began with our founder

There are a number of tax-efficient ways to support The Perse, whether you live in the UK or overseas. Our Alumni & Development Office is always happy to discuss the most effective way to make your gift and help you maximise its impact.

I will that a Free Grammar School be here founded, settled and established… And I will that five score Scholars born in Cambridge, Barnwell, Chesterton, and Trumpington and no more, nor any other be in the said Free School taught and instructed and those freely.
Dr Stephen Perse, from his Will establishing a free grammar school for local scholars

A legacy of opportunity

When Dr Stephen Perse wrote his Will in 1615, he made provision for a free education for local children, regardless of their ability to pay. His generosity established a principle that remains central to The Perse today: education can transform lives, and opportunity should be shared.

More than 400 years later, that vision continues through the generosity of our community. By leaving a gift to The Perse in your Will, you can help ensure that talented young people have the opportunity to benefit from a Perse education for generations to come.

Your legacy can make a lasting difference

A gift in your Will can help us to:

Provide life-changing bursaries for talented pupils whose families could not otherwise afford a Perse education.
Support outreach programmes that extend educational opportunities beyond the School.
Help secure the long-term future of The Perse and its commitment to opportunity.

Whatever the size of your gift, a legacy can have an impact that lasts far beyond your lifetime.

The Dr Perse Society

We are enormously grateful to those who choose to remember The Perse in their Will.

The Dr Perse Society brings together members of our community who have made this special commitment to the School. As a way of recognising their generosity, members are invited to special events and opportunities to stay connected with the School and fellow supporters.
