Dr Ken Edwards

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Dr Ken Edwards, former Chair of the Perse Governing Board, who died on 1 May 2024 aged 90.

Dr Edwards was Chair of Governors from 2001 to 2009 and led the Board successfully through a period of strategic change, culminating in The Perse’s move to full co-education and expansion.

Prior to being Chair of Governors at The Perse, Dr Edwards was Vice-Chair of the University of Leicester for 12 years, during which time the university trebled in size from 5,000 to 15,000 students.

Our thoughts are with Dr Edwards’ wife and family at this sad time.
