• 46 students secured all grades at 9 to 8.

All qualifications sat at The Perse are Ofqual-regulated GCSEs which are widely regarded as the most rigorous form of assessment.

Head Ed Elliott congratulated students, commenting: “Over half of Perse GCSE entries being graded at 9 is a magnificent achievement. This is more than 10 times the national 9 rate, which in 2023 was 4.9%.

“The dedication required to excel in over 20 different exams concentrated in a few weeks in May and June is testament to the students considerable abilities and efforts. These results are excellent foundations for further study in the Sixth Form and beyond.

“I hope everyone who received their results today takes great pride, joy and confidence in what they have achieved. There is much to celebrate. “
