Perse students get invested in international competition

Three teams from Perse Investment Club pitted their wits against students from across the world in an international finance competition.

Organised by the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School, the Wharton Global High School Investment Competition saw 1,800 teams from 66 countries devise a strategy to advise a client on the best way to build wealth from an initial $100,000 investment.

Despite the intense international competition, the Perse Investment Club groups found the experience highly rewarding, gaining valuable insights into investment and teamwork.

They presented their strategies to former Invesco fund manager Jeff Taylor, with the Progress Pelican Investments team being judged the Perse winner.
