The Perse School makes top five in Oxbridge offers table
The Perse School is among the top five independent schools in the country for students receiving Oxbridge offers.
Based on data from the 2024 UCAS application cycle, The Spectator has published a table highlighting the number of Oxford and Cambridge offers received by students from schools in comparison with the number of applications.
The Perse is ranked fifth within the independent sector and 12th overall nationally in the newspaper’s highly regarded table with 37% of Oxbridge applicants receiving offers in 2024.
The Perse has outperformed many prestigious schools with higher fees including Winchester College (17th overall), Brighton College (29th), Wellington College (42nd), North London Collegiate School (51st) and Dulwich College (68th).
It also follows on from the school being named regional Independent School of the Year for Academic Performance in The Sunday Times’ 2025 Parent Power guide.
The 2025 UCAS admission cycle has also been very successful with 74% of Perse students gaining places at their first-choice universities.
A total of 27 students received Oxbridge offers, with many more offers being received from other prestigious Russell Group universities, such as Durham (66), Bristol (61) and Exeter (57).
Thirty-four students applied for medicine and veterinary medicine courses, with 30 receiving at least one offer – an offer success rate of 88% compared to the national average of around 17%.
Meanwhile, two students have accepted places at renowned Ivy League universities Harvard and Brown in the USA.
