Perse pupils achieve outstanding success in national Senior BMSAQ competition

The Perse is delighted to announce that seven of our pupils have achieved exceptional national rankings in this year’s Senior BMSAQ (BM Schools Academic Quiz) competition, securing places within the top ten against students from across the UK.
25 Perse pupils took part in the prestigious competition last Thursday. The Senior BMSAQ is aimed at pupils in Years 11–13, though younger entrants are permitted. This makes this year’s results all the more impressive given the age of several of our highest-ranking participants.
In a remarkable set of outcomes, Zuyi (Y10) and Rafael (U6) achieved joint 3rd place nationally, with William (Y10) close behind in 4th place and Ruairi (U6) in 5th. Maxim (L6) and Hilm (U6) secured joint 9th, while Elliot (Y9) rounded out the school’s top-ten success with 10th place.
Head of School Ed Elliott praised the pupils’ performances, saying: “These are excellent results, and huge congratulations to the pupils involved. Securing 3rd, 4th, 5th, 9th and 10th at national level is a superb achievement and reflects the talent and dedication of our students.”
The school extends its congratulations to all pupils who took part, and in particular to those who achieved such outstanding national success.
