Proving their worth: from School finals to the global Top 50

The Perse Investment Club is proud to announce that one of its teams, Perse Capital Group, has advanced to the semi-finals of the Wharton Global High School Investment Competition, impressively placing among the top 50 teams out of 2,300 international entrants.

The team developed an investment strategy for a $500,000 client portfolio, structured to meet the client’s objective of targeting strong returns while advancing community building and sustainability.

“This is my third and final year participating in the competition and my second as a team leader, and it feels incredible to finish on such a high note! We’re now excited to present our portfolio in the semi-finals, ” said team leader Richard.

The final round of the competition will involve ten teams heading for the finals at the Wharton School in Philadelphia in April, 2026.

We are absolutely thrilled for them. The results are impressive: there was only one other UK school selected (congratulations to Westminster!) and only four schools in Europe overall out of the 50.  

This announcement follows the team’s win in the school finals last week, where they secured first place among five competing teams in a challenging selection judged by Jeff Taylor, former fund manager at Invesco.
