Inspectors praise Perse education

The latest Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) inspection report confirms that The Perse meets all regulatory Standards and highlights many areas of strong practice across School life.
The report commends the quality of our curriculum, the achievements of our pupils, and the inclusive, respectful culture that defines our community. Inspectors were particularly impressed by the breadth of our Perse 3D offer; the academic, pastoral and extra-curricular provision that together make a Perse education distinctive. Across the Pelican, Prep and Upper School, the inspection team awarded a ‘Significant Strength’ for our personal development programme; the culture, values and experiences that prepare our pupils for life well beyond school.
Ed Elliott, Head of The Perse, commented: “Some elements of a school’s provision are readily quantifiable, our public exam results and university destinations are the best for any independent school in the region year in year out. It was especially pleasing that inspectors also recognised our less quantifiable but very important personal development programme as a Significant Strength. To receive this recognition across all three of our sites is something of which our entire community can be proud.”
He continued “Preparing pupils extremely well for the future is what we strive to do – it is good to have it recognised.”
