The Perse recognised as one of UK’s best value private schools by The Telegraph
The Perse School is delighted to have been recognised by The Telegraph as the ‘Best Value’ independent school in East Anglia, reflecting the strength of our educational offering relative to school fees.
The recognition follows another exceptional year of academic success for Perse students, with 43% of A level entries awarded the top A* grade, along with record-breaking GCSE results.
The Telegraph‘s Best Value Private Schools analysis considers academic performance, facilities and fees, providing parents with an indication of the value offered by independent schools across the country.
At The Perse, we understand that choosing an independent education is a significant investment for families, and the importance of delivering genuine value. We are therefore pleased to receive this recognition, which acknowledges both the quality of education at The Perse and the breadth of opportunities available to our students.
Ed Elliott, Principal of The Perse School, Cambridge said:
Value requires investment in educational excellence and a focus on operational efficiency to ensure we provide an outstanding academic, pastoral and extracurricular education for a reasonable fee. We spend money where it matters on recruiting and retaining excellent teachers, save money where we can through energy consumption and conservation and solar power generation.
We are intentionally growing new income streams to take pressure off our fee-paying parents. These include running summer schools, learn to swim and learn to climb classes and operating the Perse Academy of Performing Arts, which all raise additional funds whilst opening up facilities to the community.
We have expanded overseas with Perse International Schools, which generate income and create opportunities for exchanges and the sharing of best practice.
Families interested in learning more about life at The Perse are invited to attend one of our upcoming Open Days or tours, where they can meet students and staff, explore our facilities and discover what makes a Perse education such exceptional value.
