Wellbeing Week inspires reflection, resilience and connection at The Perse Prep
From BMX stunts and raft building to kindness workshops and mindful creativity, pupils across the Prep enjoyed a packed programme of activities during Wellbeing Week.

Prep pupils enjoyed a packed programme of activities during this year’s Wellbeing Week, which encouraged them to reflect on their wellbeing while developing resilience, kindness and positive relationships.
Across the week, children in Years 3 to 6 stepped away from their usual timetables to take part in a variety of experiences focused on mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. Activities included raft building and sailing, dance workshops, disability volleyball, first aid training, online safety sessions, orienteering and creative wellbeing projects.

A particular highlight was a visit from BMX half-pipe champion and motivational speaker Mike Mullen, who used his own experiences to demonstrate the importance of perseverance, positivity and learning from setbacks. Pupils were inspired by his impressive stunt display and his message that challenges can help us grow in confidence and resilience.
Music and movement brought pupils together throughout the week, with singing, dance and other shared activities helping to strengthen the Prep’s sense of community and belonging.

From trying new experiences and working as a team to learning practical strategies for managing worries and supporting others, Wellbeing Week provided pupils with valuable opportunities to develop skills that will benefit them both in and beyond the classroom.
