Old Persean takes on 204-mile charity challenge from Oxford to Cambridge

Old Persean Stefan Narinian (Class of 2024) and three fellow students from St John’s College, Cambridge, are taking on an extraordinary 204-mile charity challenge, punting from Oxford to Cambridge in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

The team set off in late September for their ambitious 11-day journey, travelling via Northampton and Peterborough before joining the Great Ouse and eventually making their way along the River Cam towards Cambridge.

Along the route, they are navigating more than 100 locks and even the mile-long Braunston Tunnel, making for a challenging journey requiring plenty of teamwork and determination.

The challenge is raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Society, supporting its work in research and community support.

A huge congratulations to Stefan and the team on taking on such an ambitious challenge, and thank you to everyone who supported them along the way.
