Assessment
Sixth Form

All applicants will be invited to attend a Sixth Form Entrance Test Day in November of the academic year prior to entry.
Candidates must attend the testing in person. Everyone will sit papers which assess a mixture of reasoning and thinking skills.
Candidates also have a short informal interview with a Perse teacher, to talk about their interests and passions.
We are looking for students who will engage with the varied extra-curricular life of the Sixth Form and support our Perse values.
If you do not currently take I/GCSE courses, you may be asked to stay for part of the afternoon in order to sit some further subject specific tests. These arrangements will affect only a small number of applicants and specific details will be issued if this is required.

What happens next?
All candidates who attend our entrance test day will be notified of the outcome before Christmas with an acceptance deadline of early January.
Receiving an offer
The majority of Sixth Form offers are conditional on I/GCSE results. Our standard offer is based on a minimum of 58 points at I/GCSE and points are awarded for the eight best results. No points are awarded for results below a 6.
At least a grade 7 should be achieved in each chosen Sixth Form subject. A grade 8 is required in biology, chemistry, physics and maths at I/GCSE for those wishing to study these subjects.
