Open days

We hold open days twice a year, on mornings in the Michaelmas term and the Summer term.

The next Upper open morning on is on Saturday 1st October 2016, from 9.30am-12.30pm. Take a tour with a current pupil, take part in science experiments, create art, discuss philosophical questions, have fun with maths, listen to music and much, much more. The whole family is welcome, and refreshments are available. The Head will be giving talks every half an hour from 10am-noon.

There is no need to book for this open day, but to be added to our database to receive reminders about our open days please contact Deborah Cross or Gemma Westcott in our Admissions Office on 01223 403805 or by emailing

We are unable to offer parking on site for the autumn open morning. Free parking will be available at Long Road Sixth Form College with frequent minibus shuttles running between the college and The Perse.

If you are interested in our sixth form open evening, please visit the sixth form pages of this site.

Book a tour

We hold afternoon tours on selected afternoons during term time (Wednesdays, Thursday and Fridays). Tours begin at 2.05pm, usually with a prefect-led tour of the School, after which you will have the opportunity to meet the Head Ed Elliott or our Assistant Head (Welfare and Admissions) Gail Hague informally over a cup of tea. The discussion usually finishes by 3.30pm. We limit tours to a maximum of five families.

Please complete the form to register your interest in booking a tour of the Upper, and a member of our admissions team will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient date. Alternatively, contact Deborah Cross or Gemma Westcott in our Admissions Office on 01223 403805 or by emailing

Taster mornings

Our taster mornings give pupils currently in Year 6 and Year 8 an opportunity to sample a typical day at The Perse. The next Upper Taster Morning is on Saturday 15 October 2016. Pupils have the opportunity to study new subjects, make new friends and even try a school lunch. Please contact our Admissions Office on 01223 403805 or email to book a place. Early booking recommended, particularly for the Year 6 event.
