Who will benefit from my gift?
Each year, a number of pupils at The Perse are in receipt of means-tested financial assistance. The exact number of pupils supported varies each year, but in recent years has been between 90 – 110 pupils.
Entrance bursaries ensure that a Perse education can be accessible to those who otherwise would not be able to attend the School. Regardless of financial background, entrance bursaries enable talented young people to receive an excellent education.
Hardship bursaries are awarded by The Perse as the need arises to help families who have suffered a change in financial circumstances, perhaps due to redundancy, sickness, or bereavement.
They ensure that the child can continue to have the stability and support of The Perse as they go through challenging times. In the 2020-21 academic year 85% of bursary awards were 50%+ of school fees, with one in four bursary pupils receiving support at 100% of school fees.
How are bursaries awarded?
Bursaries are awarded on a means-tested basis. Please take a look at the detailed information within our admissions bursary pages.
