Perse Summer School (PSS) booking terms and conditions


1.1 Your booking constitutes a request to us to reserve a place for you on a course. All booking requests are subject to acceptance by PSS. We will confirm such acceptance to you by email or postal confirmation.

1.2 You will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions in force at the time that you book courses with us.

2. Fee and Payment Terms

2.1 The course fee will be as quoted in the brochure and on the website.

2.2 Fees must be paid in full at the time of booking.

2.3 An early payment discount of 10% is available for courses booked and paid for in full before 4th March 2016. (Please note that this discount does NOT apply to wrap-around childcare.)

3. Cancellations and Refunds Policy

3.1 To cancel a course booking, you need to inform PSS in writing. If you are ill and unable to attend the course, it will not be possible to refund your course Fee.

3.2 If you cancel a course booking within seven days of the booking being processed, provided that the course has not commenced, you are eligible to receive a full refund.

3.3 If PSS cancel a course before it begins, you will be eligible for a refund of the course fee, unless you would like to change to another course. In this case, you will be refunded the difference if you move to a cheaper course but you will need to pay the difference if you move to a more expensive course.

3.4 PSS will refund any money received using the same method originally used when taking the booking, except for cash payments which will be refunded by cheque. Valid refunds will be made within 30 days of a cancellation notice.

3.5 Should a course tutor be unable to deliver the course, PSS will seek to secure a suitable qualified replacement. If this proves impossible, you will be offered an alternative course or a full refund.

4. Written Communications and Notices

4.1 PSS will contact you by email or provide you with information by posting notices on our website. We will also send out confirmations by post (if you made your original booking by post) as well as the final confirmations, but no other postal communications will be made. Please ensure that ‘junk’ email folders are checked regularly in case emails go astray.

4.2 All notices given by you to us must be sent to Perse Summer School, Hills Road, Cambridge, CB2 8QF or to the email address

4.3 We may give notice to you at either the email or postal address you provide to us when making a booking.

4.4 It is the responsibility of the customer to make sure PSS have any change of email/postal address so their records are correct at all times.

5. Privacy

We process information about you in accordance with the PSS Privacy Policy. By booking a course, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.

6. Disability

In order to discharge our obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act, customers with disabilities are asked to provide sufficient information about their disability at the time of booking to enable us to consider whether reasonable adjustments can be made to accommodate them.

7. Parental Consent Forms

PSS will issue a parental consent for each child attending, which must be completed and returned prior to arrival. The information must include emergency contact details for all children ages 18 and under. Your child will not be able to attend PSS without a parental consent form.

8. Photographs

Official photographers will be at work during the event and PSS reserve the right to use any photographs for their publications or for marketing purposes, unless you register otherwise.
