Course Profile for Website: With the numerous cooking and baking shows including Master Chef and the infamous Great British Bake Off encouraging young chefs to try their hand at various complex recipes, this course aims to give young people a chance to develop some everyday skills of their own to avoid those “throw your failed showstopper into the bin” moments. Each session will present a new and different recipe which will be worked through step by step with the tutor. The complexity of each recipe will vary every day so a range of recipes with differing preparation and cooking times are encountered, which can then be used for any possible future occasions. The final day will have a specific focus on afternoon tea, the ultimate British indulgence. The course will be best suited to individuals with some previous experience of cooking and those who have an interest in all cooking, rather than just baking. A folder of recipes used will be provided for annotation throughout the week for all to take away.
