Perse quiz team retains national Junior Schools’ Challenge title

Perse quizzers have been crowned Junior Schools’ Challenge national champions for the second year in row.

Co-captained by Benjamin Danesh and Alexander Walker (both Year 8) and featuring William Robson (Yer 8) and Harry Robinson (Year 7), the team produced a series of excellent displays of general knowledge to claim the title.

Their success follows on from Perse teams winning both the Junior and Senior Schools’ Challenge competitions in 2023.

The Perse got off to a great start at the national finals in London by beating Lancaster Royal Grammar School B 780-200 in their quarter-final before following up with a 770-140 victory over Milbourne Lodge School in the semis.

Despite going behind early on to King Edward VI School in the final, The Perse bounced back to prevail 900-330 and take the honours.
