Perse Prep and Pelican festive shows are Christmas crackers
Show-stopping performances from Perse Prep and Pelican pupils have been getting audiences into the Christmas mood.
At the Pelican, Nursery children staged a heart-warming production of the Nativity highlighting the true meaning of Christmas.
Meanwhile, Reception youngsters performed the brilliant Baarmy Bethlehem, with the traditional tale given a sheepish twist as party animals Cheeky, Rascal and Scamp see the town filing up with people and decide they do not want to miss out on a big celebration.
As they search for the party, they meet the traditional Nativity characters and eventually end up in a peaceful stable where they find one enormous reason to celebrate!
Year 3 pupils got the Prep into the festive spirit with their production of Christmas, Christmas Everywhere.
The children told an eager audience all about the traditions of the season around the world and the important messages around Christmas time.
With help from some very festive outfits and lots of jokes along the way, the youngsters wowed the audience with their sensational singing, animated acting and delightful dancing and all involved had a tremendous time.
Year 4 dazzled in an incredible production of The Keymaster, which tells the tale of a magical supply teacher who takes a group of four children on a time-travelling journey through history.
The youngsters are taken back in time to many different periods and events, including the Battle of Hastings and the women’s suffrage movement, to bring history to life not just for them, but the audience too.
