Stone Age scenes at Perse Prep History Day
Year 3 Perse Prep pupils time-travelled back thousands of years for a special History Day focusing on the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages.
As part of their investigations into ancient settlements and civilisations, the event gave them the chance to expand their knowledge of the periods further as well as having lots of fun.
They took part in workshops to understand more about the traditions and customs, including grinding grains to make bread.
To round off an entertaining day, children had a go at learning the archery and ‘spear’ throwing skills used by ancient hunter-gatherers.
