Golden end to Perse Duke of Edinburgh Wales expedition

Perse students trekked across the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) to complete their Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Gold Award expedition.

Day one set the tone with pouring rain from the moment they started, but the teams persevered with a smile on their faces.

Some of the teams had the opportunity to wild camp beneath Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon) on day two before the longed-for glorious sunshine finally came the following day.

The teams completed their mission on day four by walking alongside the Welsh Highland Railway to the finish line in Beddgelert.

Perse DofE Co-ordinator Thomas Cranmer said: “I am immensely proud of the students that have completed their Gold expedition.”
