Perse Prep cricket team impress at national finals
The Perse Prep boys’ U11 cricket team came a superb third in the English Schools Cricket Association national finals at Oakham School.
Despite losing their opening match by 29 runs against RGS Worcester, they bounced back to beat The New Beacon by 67 runs and Exeter School by 101 runs to finish runners-up in their pool.
As a result, the team went into the third-place play-off, where they overcame St Peter’s School York by 74 runs.
