Perse athletes among the medals at national championships
Jasmine Christmas (Year 8) and Hugo (Year 6) made it on to the podium at the National Prep Schools Athletics Championships.
Both train with Cambridge & Coleridge and qualified for the national finals at Nuneaton following their recent success in the East finals at Bedford.
Having won gold in the girls’ U13 1,500m last year, Jasmine retained her title in the U14 race with a time of 4min 52.4sec, finishing just under a second ahead of her nearest rival.
Meanwhile, Perse Prep pupil Hugo took silver in the boys’ U12 long jump with a personal best leap of 4.46m.
