Global glory for Perse pupils in Japanese competition

Japanese joy was had by Perse pupils taking part in the Education Perfect (EP) Global Languages Championship.
The week-long online competition saw participants allowed to select any content they wished to study on the Education Perfect languages platform and pick up points from answering questions correctly.
A team of Perse Year 9 pupils took part and they came first overall among the British schools competing in the Japanese section.
Milton Saibrosa replicated the individual Gold he won in the EP International Languages Championship in October after collecting more than 3,000 points.
Laetitia Lowe and Kiana Mackie both received Bronze awards after scoring more than 1,000 points, while Nachiketh Prabhu and Theodore Chui gained Credit certificates (over 500).
Japanese teacher Sibylle Wilson said: “This is a super achievement by the students, congratulations to all of them.”
