Perse Pelicans go wild for Shepreth visit

A wet and wild time was had by Year 1 Perse Pelican children when they visited Shepreth Wildlife Park.

Heavy rain did not spoil the fun for the pupils as they got up close to all the animals they have been learning about this term.

African animals were studied in their ‘on safari’ topic, with a particular focus on meerkats, and the youngsters loved seeing how these small creatures co-operated as a community.

In science lessons, the children have also been doing some simple sorting and classification of species and they enjoyed a chance to discover more – and take a break from the damp conditions – at Shepreth’s Education Discovery Centre.
