Perse pupils hit the target at the British Schools Small-Bore Rifle Association 50m Challenge competition.

Carla Campos Zanotti Gerosa (Year 10) came out on top in the age 14 category at Bisley’s Lord Roberts Centre, with an impressive score of 193.005 out of 200, and Alina Milke (Year 8) was the highest scorer in the age 12 section with 179.002.

Meanwhile, Carla was joined by Sophie Ji (Year 11) as they finished runners-up in the junior pairs competition with 386.011 out of 400.

Carla and Sophie, along with Eleanor Brinsden and Eos Liao (both Upper Sixth), also finished in the top 36 overall in a field of almost 170 participants.

Perse shooting coach Kevin Picher said: “All of the students shot well, with some new caps shooting their first 50m match, and we are now looking forward to competing in the 50m Schools Open in December.”
