Perse golfers club together for success at major tournament
Perse golfers enjoyed team and individual success in a prestigious ISGA (Independent Schools Golf Association) tournament at The Warwickshire Golf Club.
The trio of Will McKernan (Lower Sixth), Harry Howell and Alexander Mills (both Year 9) put in a great performance to finish runners-up in the team event at the ISGA HG Trophy stroke play event, which featured more than 20 schools from around the country.
In the individual competition, Will tied for fourth place overall, just two shots behind the winner, while Harry was joint-eighth, only a further shot adrift, which was enough for him to claim the U15 age group title.
Perse golf coach Sean Park said: “All three pupils played some excellent golf throughout the day and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to take part in the event.”
