County accolade for Perse netball team

The Perse U16 netball team has been honoured at the Cambridgeshire County Netball Association (CCNA) annual awards ceremony.
Chosen from all sides across the county, the Perse team picked up the coveted Team of the Year accolade after an impressive season culminated in them reaching the National Schools Championships finals at Oundle School in March.
Outside of championship competition, the girls also enjoyed an unbeaten regular season on the court.
Team coach Millie Diss was delighted the players had been recognised for their efforts by the CCNA.
She said: “This is a phenomenal achievement and thoroughly well deserved. The girls worked tirelessly with pure grit and determination throughout the whole year to be in the best possible condition as players and as a team unit.
“They have continued to make me unbelievably proud and all have bright netball careers ahead of them.”
