Perse students named in England Schools team

Seven Perse students have been selected to represent England in the British Schools Small-bore Rifle Association National Match.

Liliana French (Lower Sixth) and Will Bacon (Upper Sixth), who won the senior pairs title at the British Schools 50m Challenge event last November, have both been named in the England A team for the encounter, where they will take on opponents from the other Home Nations.

Cara Hollis (Lower Sixth) has been drafted into the B team, while Eleanor Brinsden (Lower Sixth) and Fleur Christmas (Upper Sixth) have been included in the C team. Eos Liao and Miles Cobley (both Lower Sixth) have been chosen for the D team.

Perse coach Kevin Pilcher said: “It’s fantastic that so many of our students have made it into the England team. Selection is based on their average scores this year and the average of these seven Perse students combined is 96.8 out of 100, which is brilliant.”
