East finals on the way for Perse hockey teams

Perse boys’ hockey teams have been making excellent progress at regional and county level.
The U14 side have reached the East finals of the England Schools national schools championships taking place next month, after winning their regional qualifying tournament at Wilberforce Road.
They topped their pool without conceding a goal as they defeated Stamford 3-0, Framlingham College 5-0 and Gresham’s 1-0.
The team ensured their place in the regional finals by edging out Ipswich School 4-3 on penalty strokes following a 1-1 draw in their classification match.

Meanwhile, the U13 and U12 teams both went through their county competitions unbeaten to claim their respective Cambridgeshire titles and qualify for the regional finals in their age groups.
