Regional triumph for Perse Prep hockey team

The Perse Prep U11 girls’ hockey team have marched into the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) national finals after clinching the regional title in style.
They won the regional qualifiers at Framingham College without conceding a goal to ensure their spot in the IAPS finals at Millfield School on 26 November.
The team came top of their pool with successive 2-0 victories over Old Buckenham Hall and Gresham’s followed by a 1-0 win against Felsted.
They edged out Town Close School and Framlingham 1-0 in the quarter and semi-finals respectively before defeating Langley Prep School by the same scoreline in the final.
Perse Prep Head of Girls’ Hockey Nicky Clark commented: “The team performed brilliantly and played with great spirit and determination. They should all be extremely proud of their achievement.
“We are now looking forward to the challenge of competing at the national finals next month.”
