In light of the government’s latest advice regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, we are restricting visitors to our school site and therefore the Upper tour programme has been suspended.
You are welcome to register your interest in a tour by completing the form here and a member of the admissions team will be in touch once we have tour dates available.
If you were unable to attend our autumn Upper open event, you can still take a visit to our Upper Virtual Open Day which features lots more information to help you to understand more about the school. For our Sixth Form online prospectus, click here.
The tour programmes have also been suspended at the Prep and Pelican. You are welcome to register your interest in a tour at a future date by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or PelicanSchoolSec@perse.co.uk.
However, you can pay a visit to our Prep Virtual Open Day and Pelican Virtual Open Day to find out more about what we have to offer.
Applications to join the Pelican, Prep and Upper in September 2021 close on 1 December 2020.
Applications for entry into the Lower Sixth in September 2021 have closed.
If you have any urgent questions regarding school admissions for the Upper, please email email@example.com
Questions regarding admissions to the Prep should be emailed to Prephmsec@perse.co.uk and for the Pelican, email PelicanSchoolSec@perse.co.uk
Information for Perse parents
We are following all relevant Department for Education, Public Health England and health and safety advice to operate Covid-secure sites.
If your child feels unwell, please refer to the Quick guide for parents – Covid-19, for actions you need to take.
We have introduced additional Covid-secure measures until the scheduled end of the latest national lockdown on Wednesday 2 December 2020 at which point these will be reviewed.

If you do need to come on to the school site, you will be asked to wear a face covering for meetings inside and use hand gel on arrival and encouraged to regularly wash your hands. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation at this time.
The 5 S’s
To keep pupils and staff safe, we will follow the 5 S’s at all times.
Face coverings are mandatory at the Upper in high usage indoor communal areas, such as corridors and stairs, as well as the library, the Peter Hall Performing Arts Centre, the Sixth Form Centre and work areas, and the staff room.
In classrooms and offices, face coverings must be worn where social distances of 2m between individuals cannot be maintained. This means that for classes where desks are spaced 1m apart, pupils will have to wear face coverings in lessons.
Face coverings will not be required for indoor sport/exercise, music rehearsals or instrumental lessons where pupils/staff are more than 2m apart, or when food and drink are being consumed.
Face coverings do not need to be worn outside, (with the exception of lunch queues) or by pupils and staff who are exempt.
Face coverings are not required at the Pelican and Prep (except for visitors).
However, any pupil or member of staff can wear a face covering at any time as a matter of personal choice.
After careful consideration, the decision has been taken that the school bus service and the daily shuttle buses between Prep/Pelican and Prep/Upper will cease temporarily during the Covid-19 pandemic.
This decision has been taken with regret, but The Perse has concluded that the operation of a bus service which brings together in close proximity children from different year groups and different Perse schools is not consistent with the bubble infection control measures recommended to combat Covid-19.
The situation will remain under review and the school is committed to reinstating the bus service and shuttle buses as soon as reasonably possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
