COVID-19 Latest School Information
13 Oct 2020
Last updated 13 October 2020
In light of the government’s latest advice regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, we are restricting all visitors to our school site.
At the Upper School we are currently only able to offer school tours to those who will be applying for 2021 entry to Years 7 and 9 and Lower Sixth. Once admissions for 2021 have been completed in the Lent term, we will be in a position to offer school tours for those applying in future years.
If you were unable to attend our autumn Upper open event, you can still take a visit to our Upper Virtual Open Day which features lots more information to help you to understand more about the school.
We are holding a Sixth Form Open Evening on Wednesday 21 October 2020.
The Prep School and Pelican School are offering tours to anyone considering entry in 2021. Please contact Prephmsec@perse.co.uk for Prep tours and PelicanSchoolSec@perse.co.uk for Pelican tours.
You can also pay a visit to our Prep Virtual Open Day and Pelican Virtual Open Day to find out more about what we have to offer.
Please do not come to the school if you or anyone in your immediate family is experiencing symptoms detailed on the NHS coronavirus information page which can be found here.
Applications to join the Pelican, Prep and Upper in September 2021 close on 1 December 2020.
Applications for entry into the Lower Sixth in September 2021 is 9 November 2020.
If you have any urgent questions regarding school admissions for the Upper, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Questions regarding admissions to the Prep should be emailed to Prephmsec@perse.co.uk and for the Pelican, email PelicanSchoolSec@perse.co.uk

If you do need to come onto the school site, you will be asked to wear a face covering for meetings inside and use hand gel on arrival and encouraged to regularly wash your hands. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation at this time.
After careful consideration, the decision has been taken that the school bus service and the daily shuttle buses between Prep/Pelican and Prep/Upper will not resume in the Michaelmas term 2020.
This decision has been taken with regret, but The Perse has concluded that the operation of a bus service which brings together in close proximity children from different year groups and different Perse schools is not consistent with the bubble infection control measures recommended to combat Covid-19.
The situation will remain under review and the school is committed to reinstating the bus service and shuttle buses as soon as reasonably possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
The 5 S’s
To keep pupils and staff safe, we will follow the 5 S’s at all times. Face coverings are mandatory at the Upper in communal areas of teaching blocks, such as corridors and stairs. Face coverings are not required at the Pelican and Prep (except for visitors).
However, any pupil or member of staff can wear a face covering at any time as a matter of personal choice.
