Key Worker provision
Except for the year groups returning as part of the phased re-opening, the school sites are ONLY open to pupils who are classified as the children of key workers, and those children who are vulnerable. All key worker parents are being asked to book a place at school for their child on a weekly basis.
Our key worker provision will operate from 8am – 5.30pm on weekdays. Any questions about the key work provision should be directed to Gavin Richards (GARichards@Perse.co.uk).
Perse parents should check their PersePost account for full details.
The Perse has moved to remote education across all three sites. Our remote provision features a variety of academic work set and assessed by teachers, and also includes a wide range of activities, clubs and societies, such as 42 lecture series, year and whole school assemblies, pastoral form times and career guidance talks.
Our approach is based on blended learning and includes all pupils studying at the same time as well as pupils studying at times suitable to them (synchronous and asynchronous instruction). As such, every pupil will experience a mixture of ‘live’ lessons taught by teachers and work that is intended to be completed independently. In this way, we maintain a strong sense of community and ensure that our pupils continue to make excellent progress and develop as independent learners.
All lessons are delivered through existing school e-learning platforms. For further details related to each individual school please visit www.perse.co.uk/homelearn.
We are very conscious that these are anxious times in which families face many personal, financial and health concerns. These could be made worse by social isolation and the disruption of normal routines. To help with all of the above, tutors will make regular contact with their tutees and if necessary arrange for tutees to speak to a member of our pastoral staff.
We have also set up an email account firstname.lastname@example.org which parents can use if they have concerns about their children or want advice.
School Fees Information
All Perse parents were sent a letter from the Chair of Governors on Tuesday 31 March relating to school fees. Please check your PersePost account for full details.
The Perse is aware that the Covid-19 pandemic is causing financial hardship for many families.
Emergency bursaries are available to pupils who are already at The Perse (Pelican, Prep or Upper) during the academic year 2019-20. With regret we are unable to offer emergency bursaries to pupils due to join the school at a future date.
If you would like further information in order to apply for a means-tested emergency bursary, please contact Bursary-Application@perse.co.uk
A copy of the school’s bursary policy is available in the policy area of the website.

The Perse School sites are now closed to all other pupils. Pupils are taking part in a range of other learning activities at home, including virtual learning. All parents and pupils have been sent further details of how they can access home learning tasks and resources.
Parents can access the home learning page here.
The government has stated that no public exams will take place this summer. Parents and pupils have been sent further details via PersePost and should check their account for the latest information sent at the start of the Summer Term.
Tours of the Pelican, Prep and Upper (including Sixth Form) are currently on hold due to the coronavirus. We hope to resume tours later in the year.
Applications to join the Pelican, Prep and Upper School in September 2021 close on 1 December 2020.
Applications for entry into the Lower Sixth in September 2021 is 9 November 2020, so there is plenty of time to visit the school before our deadline.
If you have any urgent questions regarding school admissions for the Upper School please email email@example.com
Questions regarding admissions to the Prep should be emailed to Prephmsec@perse.co.uk and for the Pelican email PelicanSchoolSec@Perse.co.uk
Visitors to the school
The school is taking very proactive measures to protect the health and wellbeing of our pupils and staff.
In light of the government’s latest advice, we are restricting all visitors to our school site.
Please do not come to the school if you or anyone in your immediate family is experiencing symptoms detailed on the NHS coronavirus information page which can be found here.
If you do need to come onto the school site you will be asked to use hand gel on arrival and encouraged to regularly wash your hands. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation at this time.
