Toby Collins (Year 11) and Jem Bennett (Year 10) achieve top places in the TCS Oxford Computing Challenge (TCSOCC) national finals.
They were first and second respectively in the senior category of the illustrious online competition, in which they had to attempt to solve 12 computer science-related problems in just one hour.
Anny Chen (Year 10) and Daniel Myhill (Year 9) earned top-10 finishes in the senior and intermediate sections respectively, while Daniel Vlasits (Upper Sixth), Max Bennett (Lower Sixth), Aidan Wong (Year 11), Tom Hammond and Neelkantha Mukherjee (both Year 8) were also among the 84 national finalists to have qualified from round one of TCSOCC.
More than 140 Perse students took part in round one of TCSOCC, which was an impressive feat in itself as they had to be graded among the top 10% of participants in the UK Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge earlier this year to be invited to enter.
