Superstan brings a smile to Perse Prep performance

The tale of Superstan was brought to life with great enthusiasm by The Perse Prep’s Year 5 Centre Stage drama group.
The 22 young actors helped tell the story of Stanley, a young boy who dreams of being a superhero, never expecting his dream to actually come true.
He has to do battle with the evil Candy King who is determined to take over the world by means of his hypnotic gobstoppers. Luckily, Stanley has superhero ancestry and is ready to fulfil his potential by transforming into Superstan when the town of Megaville is in desperate need of being saved.
Prep Head of English Raph de Albuquerque, who directed the play, said: “With plenty of slapstick comedy and cheeky one-liners, the play was a pleasure to rehearse and a delight to perform. The pupils performed their play to a joyous reception from their parents. Well done to all involved!”
