Perse pupils gained special awards after making it to the national finals of the UK Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge.
It was a huge achievement for Imaani Morris, Vivek Kondel-Laws (both Year 7) and James Short (Year 9) in reaching the final, as more than 210,000 children entered the competition, which is supported by Raspberry Pi, across the intermediate (12-14) and junior (10-12) age categories.
They qualified for the final at the University of Oxford’s Department of Computer Science after attaining the highest marks in the first round, where participants had to solve as many computer science-related problems as possible in an allotted time.
Imaani, Vivek and James were each presented with a finalists’ certificate in a presentation at Oxford’s Hertford College.
