Students at The Perse School Cambridge have received a high number of offers from prestigious institutions.
With months of the 2019-20 university offer season still to run, 41 students have been offered a place at Oxbridge (23 from Cambridge University and 18 from Oxford University). One student has received an offer from Harvard. So far, five students have gained places at medical schools.
To date, 411 offers have come from the leading Russell Group of UK universities, including 10 offers from Imperial College. So far, 52 students have received offers from one of the global top 10 universities according to The Times Higher Education World Rankings.
Head Ed Elliott commented: “With Sixth Form year groups of 180, it is really pleasing to see nearly 30% of students being offered places at the best universities in the world.
This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and staff over many years.
Over the last five years, our Oxbridge results have been consistently high with 216 offers in total.
We want students to make the best subject, course and university choices. Our team of specialist university advisors work exceptionally hard to give students high quality bespoke support and guidance.
I am very encouraged to see so many students receiving offers to their first choice of university and I congratulate them on this well-deserved news.”
