Dominic Jaunzens and Frankie Webb (both Year 10) have qualified for the national finals of the English Schools Swimming Association Diving Championships following success at the regional trials.
They travelled to Southend Diving Centre for the East tournament to take part in the 3m springboard event with both divers securing podium finishes. Dominic won his event after receiving scores of 6.5 and 7 on most of his dives, while Frankie displayed some stunning entries into the water and achieved high scores throughout as she finished third overall.
Dominic and Frankie will now travel to the London Aquatics Centre at the Olympic Park for the ESSA finals on 9 December.
Frankie also competed at the Irish Open Championships along with another Perse pupil, Alice Ledzion (Year 10), in Dublin, with both representing Cambridge Dive Team.
Frankie came second in both 1m and 3m springboard events, while Alice achieved some personal bests at the competition, with highlights including scoring sevens on both her back and reverse dives pike on the 3m springboard to finish with just under 40 points each time. Alice finished with a fifth place and two sixth places from her events.
