A splashing time is had by Perse canoeists on Welsh rivers trip

Year 9 pupil Jack MacHale looks back on the Perse Canoe Club’s recent visit to the River Dee
Our destination, the Bryntysilio Centre, was incredible. Being within walking distance of the River Dee and having hot showers are two of the best things that you can be given on a Canoe Club trip!
After spending a while helping the Year 8 pupils put up their tents, we were given a nice warm meal to help us prepare the following day.
Over the next few days we would be given the opportunity to practise our kayaking skills and techniques with a team of brilliant and extremely experienced guides in preparation for the summer expedition to the River Spey.
Just as importantly, we also made new friendships and memories which we shall cherish throughout our time at The Perse.
