Surrey Storm captain puts Perse netballers through their paces

The Perse U18 netball squad have been given the perfect preparation for the new season with the help of Surrey Storm star Katy Holland.
Holland, who is captain of the Vitality Netball Superleague side, put the players through their paces at Cranleigh School as part of their pre-season trip.
She provided the girls with a defending masterclass before their match against Storm’s U17 development team, a real test of their mettle in which the players stepped up and made good use of what they had learned as well as demonstrating some very considered play.
The Storm game rounded off a weekend that had begun with the Perse netballers splitting into two teams to take part in the annual Hurstpierpoint College pre-season tournament.
Both sides played two hours of non-stop, competitive netball, with every player showing huge improvement and the teams gelling well with some promising performances against tough opposition.
There was still time for fun off-court with the girls visiting the trampoline park at AirHop Guildford after the competition.
It proved to be a valuable weekend for the Perse squad’s bid to hit the ground running this season.
