The Perse School has claimed top spot in the Sunday Times Parent Power rankings for the best independent school in East Anglia.
The annual Sunday Times schools guide lists the 2,000 highest achieving schools in the country, based on exam results.
The Perse came first in the regional independent schools category and was ranked 14th nationally, climbing 10 places from last year.
This summer, 96.9 per cent of entries attained A* to B at A level, while 89.5 per cent of entries achieved A* or A grades at GCSE.
Head Ed Elliott said: “I am delighted that the Sunday Times Parent Power survey has recognised The Perse as the top performing school for public exam results in the East of England.
“Academic success is one element of a Perse education. Equally important are the quality of pastoral support for pupils and the range of out of classroom leaning opportunities in areas such as sport, music, drama and outdoor pursuits.
“We offer a 3D education at The Perse that helps children develop in the round.”
