Perse pupil inspired by Christel House School visit
22 Sep 2017
Viyan Raj (Year 10) visited Christel House School in Bangalore while on a trip to India to visit family during the summer holidays.
The Perse has supported Christel House, a charity that helps transform the lives of impoverished children through education in some of the most deprived communities in the world, since 2011.
Viyan explained why he decided to visit the school, how he helped assist the pupils and why he feels it is such a terrific cause.
He said: “I was really keen to go because The Perse raises a lot of money for Christel House and I wanted to see where the money goes.
“I was really impressed by what I saw, considering the backgrounds the children come from, and the school does so much for them. They give the pupils breakfast and lunch and milk after school as well.
“I want to do more for Christel House in the future because I can see the impact it’s having on the children and their families.”
