The Perse School

Golfing star in the making

Year 8 pupil Oliver Brunt continues to make great strides with his golf, competing in the U.S. Kids Golf European Championships at Glen Golf Club in Scotland over half term.

Competing against 75 other players from around the world, Oliver scored a highly impressive 75 (+3) in his first round, leaving him in joint fifth place and the top ranked British competitor. Further rounds of 77 (+5) and 81 (+9) left Oliver in T25th place overall.

June promises to be a busy month for Oliver as he competes for the school in the ISGA National Plate Finals at Magnolia Park, as well as the ISGA Junior League Finals at Radley and the ISGA Junior Open at Sunningdale.

Boasting a handicap of 8 at such a young age, the sky is the limit for Oliver and he has the potential to be an exceptional player.
