Pelican students go into the wild at the Prep Science Garden
12 May 2017
Pelican Nursery pupils visited the Prep Science Garden this week.
The children began by exploring the vast Prep gardens to find interesting materials they could use to decorate their own plant pot with. Working in pairs, they roamed the playing fields, finding feathers, flowers, twigs and even some spiders!
As it was a little chilly for May, Mr Nicholes led some sports activities, playing traffic lights and pirate ship games, encouraging the children to work together.
Eryn said, “My favourite part of this morning was finding things under the trees. I found flowers and feathers – some were smooth and some were quite bristly.”
When asked what he liked most about visiting the Prep School, Hanzhe said, “I love the big, pretty buildings, and getting to run around outside has been really fun.”
